Week 7 in Texas
Fun stuff from this week!
We
met some frogs! Our new apartment has frogs all over outside! It's
actualy really fun at night because as we walk back to our apartment we
always see them and they're really cute! I still haven't picked one up
yet but its only a matter of time. Sister Park isn't as fond of them as I
am but I think the frogs are growing on her.
Yesterday
during our dinner appointment, they took us out to see their animals!
They have 4 baby goats!! They were so cute!! The one I held was super
soft too! I was surprised. They were just the cutest things ever.
We
also went to an event called the national day of prayer. There were
people of all faiths there and they all said prayers and it was really
cool. We got to meet all sorts of people and learned a lot about
different types of prayers.
Half of our investigators ghosted us this week but hey, life happens. Most were out of town so that's fun for them!
We
did get to meet with H. Her baby is still adorable. Cool story,
so when we were over we wanted to read the Book of Mormon with her. We
read the introduction of the chapter and I start reading the first verse
and she stops me half way through. She said she wanted to pray and
invite the spirit because she knew she wouldn't be able to understand
otherwise. By the end she told us she was on the verge of tears and she
recognized it as the spirit! It was incredible!
L
is still on track for baptism! We started teaching him the commandments
and he was basically begging us for more commandments to follow!
We also got a new investigator this week! Her name is S and she is from Cambodia! She is the sweetest and so loving!
That's
basically all that happened this week. I've started studying patience
being patient is super important. Everything is on the Lord's timing. We
only get to teach people if our Heavenly Father trusts us. They won't
progress unless it's their time to progress. We have to be patient in
all things. It's super hard, I struggle with it but it's so important.
I love you all! Sorry this email is so short! Have a great week y'all!
Love ya!
