Week 3 in Texas
The In-N-Out miracle
The sisters with their Ward Mission Leader
Sorry, I guess I never got her blog updated last week. Oops!
I love getting updates on the fam. Sorry i dont always respond to them directly but I do love reading what's going on!
I got the package! You guys are so sweet! I love the clothes too, and I love how momma bought the earrings probably just for the mint flower ones that match the dress😂
When I first got to our apartment, there were so many clothes! We went through it all and then we got rid of everything else. I found that plumeria shirt and a denim/ chambray long skirt and a few other things!

Also the pictures attached in the email didn't load... Samsung's struggle sometimes. I saw the Easter ones though! Y'all are so cute❤
(I had asked about some people in her pictures that we see through google drive. We haven’t shared these pictures for privacy reasons)
So M. is the older one that was in the first pictures. The older woman is an English woman named Jean! She is a member but her kids aren't so we go and visit her sometimes! I just uploaded pictures of C. and her family minus one of her daughter's. We had their family over for dinner at the Gwilliams house and it went so well! The whole family came to church on Sunday!! It was a miracle! The one in the funcle shirt is the ward mission leader, brother Gwilliam. They're so helpful, they let us do laundry at their house!❤
(I had asked her about miracles. I wasn’t expecting this response, however with it being Emma I should have!)
Did you know that there is In N Out here??? That's a miracle, having that for lunch one day!
We
get fed basically every night. We get a lot of heavy meals like
cassorles and pastas. Fried chicken sometimes too! We got such a yummy
meal yesterday. They made pork tenderloin! It reminded me of home. It
was happy and lighter.
I don't know if I'll end up picking up an accent here. I'll definitely say y'all haha but not a ton of people have accents but the farther out into the country we go, the more accents there are.
We saw blue bells!!!! They were so pretty! We found a yard that was just covered in them. I didn't remember that they only lived for 3 weeks! That's so short so when we heard they were blooming we went on a hunt to find them, and we did! They were so pretty!

So this week all of C. family came to church! They were pretty late so we were feeling discouraged, thinking they weren't going to come. We started to doubt but then they walked in! Ah it was such a glorious moment too! Like the joy washed over me. Heavenly Father knows what's happening and we have no need to ever doubt. Heavenly Father is in control, and that is such a blessing!
Every Wednesday we do a Book of Mormon read with the adults and we invite our investigators to come. So far no investigators have come but we always have members. This week I was able to use the scriptures we read in several different scenarios. It's so cool how the spirit brings those things to your remembrance.
M. cracks me up! She wouldn't answer her phone all this week so yesterday we showed up at her house! When we confronted her about not answering her phone she told us that she knew we would just show up at our house. Well she was right! When we were teaching her, we got to the point where we testified that we know the church is true and holy cow the spirit was so strong! Like almost tangible! She was like, "I want to read the Book of Mormon now. I want that high that you both have." She knows what we're teaching is true, she just forgets it when we leave because the spirit leaves too. There's a lot of hope though so that's good!
We started teaching another family! The father referred himself on lds.org and we found out there's a whole family! When we were teaching he said that he was ready to read the Book of Mormon and to prepare for questions. He also said that they will invite friends over too. It's crazy cool!
We
also started teaching a man named G! He's so humble and ready to
learn. It was cool because we had met him before and then we were kinda
having a slow day and we felt like we should go see him and he was home
and the lesson went so Well! The spirit was so strong! So so cool!
We
also went to a less active member's home. They have been offended by
people sharing from the Book of Mormon and so we were so nervous! They
asked us some specific questions to address and we had no idea how to
without using the Book of Mormon. Anyway we prayed for the spirit and it
seriously helped guide our message. We both don't even remember what we
said but they told us afterward that it was so perfect for what they
need. That was a really cool experience!
That's
the highlights! I still love Texas and the work out here. This work is
so inspired. I love y'all so much! I hope you all have a fantastic week!
