Texas week 5 ... I think (It's actually week 6!)

Hey y'all! I have officially moved to a new place! Let me tell you, I never want to do that again haha. It is a much nicer place but moving isn't fun. I'm grateful we don't have to box up a whole apartment for transfers! Speaking of transfers, both Sister Park and I are staying here in Denton!

The new place is really nice. We're still getting adjusted though. It's a weird adjustment. It's a better change but it is change. It's relates to what we're doing out here though. We are inviting people to make big changes and they're better changes but it doesn't make it more comfortable until they adjust. It's interesting.

We had a 6 Week follow up training meeting and we got Costa Vida on the way back!

This week we helped out with the young women a lot! On Wednesday I hosted a watercolor class for their activity! We had a nonmember come so we could help expose them to the church! It was super fun!

We also got to go to the beehives on Sunday and I got to teach about the importance of the Book of Mormon! It was super fun! I love teaching!

In other news... L. is getting baptized!! His whole life has been preparing him for baptism and he is so ready. I'm so excited for him! He is the perfect example of humility. When we invited him to be baptized he told us that his goal is to return back to God and gain a relationship with him again. He said that if he needs to be baptized to get there, he's willing. He's the greatest example of humility.

We went to a bible study for our friend A. Wow, they know how to praise Jesus! It was an experience hahaha. We will teach the whole bible study the Restoration next week so that will be good!

We learned how to make tortillas and Mexican rice from C! It was so fun!  We read the Book of Mormon with her afterwards. She was talking about how she's unsure about what to do with work and when we were reading this chapter she told us she got an answer! We were so excited she found her scripture! Looking back, we never would have thought it would touch her, but it did! The spirit touches people in the way they need. This gospel is SO COOL!

We also got to visit with H. this week. She's been having health problems so we went to clean up her house and fold some laundry. She told us she wanted to keep learning more! It was super exciting!!

We've been reading the Book of Mormon with G., the recent convert/less-active, every night. He has told us how much it is helping him every day. I can't say it enough, the Book of Mormon is SO powerful!

I love y'all so much! Thank you for all you do for me. I love reading your emails. I'm sorry I can't respond to everything you say but I cherish them. I love to hear about life at home!

With love,
Sister Emma Joi Gardner
